Sod Installation

A thick, healthy lawn — installed in a single day.

Professional sod installation with site grading, soil preparation, and a written aftercare guide. We use premium sod varieties suited to Southern Ontario conditions.

The Service

Done properly, the first time.

A new sod lawn is only as good as what's underneath it. Before a single roll goes down, we strip out the old turf or construction debris, correct the grade so water drains away from your foundation, and prepare a bed of quality topsoil for the roots to knit into. That preparation is the difference between a lawn that looks good for a season and one that stays thick for years.

We install premium, Ontario-grown sod suited to Southern Ontario's climate and soil. Rolls are laid tight with staggered joints, trimmed cleanly around beds and hardscaping, and rolled for soil contact. You get a written aftercare guide covering the critical first weeks of watering — and our workmanship warranty behind the install.

  • Premium Ontario-grown sod, laid with staggered joints and rolled
  • Clean trimming around beds, walkways, and obstacles
  • Written aftercare guide and workmanship warranty
How It Works

From first call to finished sod installation.

  1. Site visit & measurement

We measure the area, check grading and soil condition, and give you a clear written quote.

  2. Removal & grading

Old turf and debris come out; the grade is corrected so water runs where it should.

  3. Soil preparation

Topsoil or triple mix is spread and fine-graded to a smooth, even planting bed.

  4. Sod installation

Fresh sod is laid the day it arrives, joints staggered, edges trimmed, then rolled for contact.

  5. Walkthrough & aftercare

We walk the finished lawn with you and hand over your written watering and care guide.

Sod Installation questions, answered.

Any time the sod farms are cutting — typically spring through late fall. Spring and early fall are ideal because cooler weather and natural rainfall make establishment easier; summer installs work well too, they just need more diligent watering.

Keep foot traffic off for the first couple of weeks while the roots knit into the soil. A gentle tug on a corner will tell you when it has taken hold — once you feel resistance, light use is fine.

Watering is the single biggest factor in how well new sod establishes. Your written aftercare guide covers exactly how often and how much for each stage of the first few weeks.

Yes. We strip the existing turf and haul it away rather than laying new sod over old grass — sod needs direct soil contact to root properly.
