Deck Construction

Custom-built decks designed for how you actually live outside.

New deck builds using pressure-treated lumber, composite decking, or hardwoods. Ground-level to elevated, with proper footings and structural framing.

The Service

Done properly, the first time.

A deck is a structure first and a living space second — and we build it in that order. Footings poured below the frost line so posts never heave, framing sized and fastened for the spans and loads involved, and railings built to height and strength requirements. Then comes the part you see: decking laid with tight, even lines, clean stair work, and details that make the deck feel like part of the house.

We build in pressure-treated lumber, composite decking, and hardwoods, from ground-level platforms to elevated decks with stairs and privacy features. If your municipality requires a permit for the build, we'll flag it during the site visit and help you understand the process.

What’s included

  • Design around how you'll use the space — dining, grilling, lounging
  • Concrete footings poured below frost depth
  • Structural framing sized for the spans and loads
  • Your choice of pressure-treated, composite, or hardwood decking
  • Stairs, railings, and skirting built to code requirements
  • Full cleanup and a workmanship warranty
How It Works

From first call to finished deck construction.

  1. Design & quote

We measure, talk through layout, materials, and railings, and quote the build in writing.

  2. Permits if required

We flag whether your municipality needs a permit and help you get sorted before work starts.

  3. Footings & framing

Footings go below frost line; the frame is built plumb, level, and properly fastened.

  4. Decking & railings

Surface boards, stairs, and railings are installed with clean, consistent detailing.

  5. Walkthrough

We inspect the finished deck with you and cover care for your chosen material.

Pressure-treated is the most budget-friendly and takes stain well; composite costs more up front but needs almost no maintenance; hardwoods offer premium looks with more upkeep. We'll walk you through the trade-offs for your budget and how you use the space.

It depends on your municipality and the deck's size and height. We'll flag it during your free site visit and help you understand what's required before anything is built.

Below the local frost line, so seasonal freezing can't lift the structure. It's one of the most important — and most commonly skipped — parts of a deck that stays level.

Yes — privacy walls, slatted screens, and shade structures can be designed into the build or added to an existing deck.
