Gravel Beds

Low-maintenance beds with a clean, modern aesthetic.

Decorative gravel and river rock bed installation with landscape fabric and edging. Excellent for low-water zones and modern landscaping styles.

The Service

Done properly, the first time.

Gravel and river rock beds are the low-maintenance workhorses of modern landscaping: they don't break down, don't need topping up every year, and keep their clean look through every season. They're especially good along foundations, under roof driplines, and in narrow side yards where mulch washes out or grass won't grow.

We build them properly — landscape fabric below to stop weeds and keep stone from sinking into the soil, solid edging to hold the line, and your choice of stone from smooth river rock to crisp clear gravel.

What’s included

  • Bed shaping, weed removal, and soil preparation
  • Commercial landscape fabric under all stone
  • Solid edging to keep gravel where it belongs
  • Your choice of river rock, pea gravel, or clear stone
  • Placement that works with drainage, not against it
How It Works

From first call to finished gravel beds.

  1. Design & material selection

We look at the space, discuss stone types and edging, and quote the work.

  2. Preparation

Weeds and old material come out; the ground is graded and fabric installed.

  3. Edging

Edging is set to hold clean lines between stone, lawn, and beds.

  4. Stone installation

Stone is placed at an even depth and raked to a clean finish.

With proper fabric underneath, weeds from below are blocked. Wind-blown seeds can sprout in the stone itself over time, but they pull easily and never root deeply.

Yes — it's the standard finish over driplines, downspout runs, and French drain routes. It lets water move while keeping soil in place and looking intentional.

Gravel wins on longevity and maintenance; mulch wins on soil health for planted beds. Many properties use both — stone in drainage and border zones, mulch where things grow. We'll recommend per area.
